How old must my child be to enroll?

We offer preschool programs for children ages 2-5 years old and after-school programs for elementary grades K through 6th grade.

What is the student-teacher ratio?

For best health and wellness practice, all of the age groups have a ratio of ten kids per one teacher (1:10). In the case that there are more than ten students, we simply split the group and use a separate classroom. We are blessed with a campus big enough to maintain social distancing!

What kind of curriculum is used in the classes?

Our teachers will develop the specific curriculum according to the children's interests, levels, and needs. The following learning domains are utilized in preparing the curriculum: spiritual, social/emotional, language and literacy, mathematics, visual and performing arts, physical development, health history/social science, and science.

Do you have specific learning areas?

We offer several clearly-defined learning areas, including writing, art, library, blocks, science, dramatic play, and manipulatives, depending on the class's age-appropriateness.

What religious instruction do you have?

We offer age-appropriate Christian instruction in each class as well as a weekly chapel. We welcome children of all faiths. Your family’s faith tradition, or no-tradition, will not exclude your child. All are welcome here at Morningside.

What does communication with parents look like at MCC?

We enjoy meeting with and getting to know each parent(s) of our students. We communicate in various ways, including our bulletin boards, informative notices, verbal, written, face-to-face meetings, online, and when requested by the parents. Our doors are always open for parents to stop by.

Please note, due to CDC guidelines, adults must wear a face mask when on campus.
